Fraser works with entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial companies to help them secure and leverage their innovations, creativity and branding. Fraser has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications ranging from simple mechanical and software innovations to complex circuitry and mathematical algorithms. His practice involves a number of high-value applications with relevance to technical industry standards. A number of patents he has written and prosecuted have been commercially licensed and asserted in litigation. He regularly helps clients obtain valuable patent protection in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Fraser works with clients on the development of effective IP portfolio development and management strategies and provides guidance with regard to licensing and enforcement issues including validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions.

Fraser has successfully represented clients in proceedings before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Canadian Patent Appeal Board, the Canadian Trade-marks Opposition Board, and the United States Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.

Fraser is recognized by the Law Society of Ontario as a Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law (Patents).
